Jobing Description



The overall responsibility of this position is the ongoing development, management and oversight of all aspects of The Golden Opportunity Center and other Clinical Volunteers. This position also provides back-up supervision to interns and supports other center wide training work as needed.

  • Program development and administrative supervision of the Golden Opportunity Center (GOC).
  • Provides support to the center wide training programs.
  • Conduct internal marketing to supervisors and other interested clinical staff members.
  • Provide leadership in developing and sustaining strong positive relationships with graduate school programs, partner agencies and interns.
  • Develop relationships and recruit bilingual and bicultural interns via the Golden Opportunity Center.  
  • Responsible for recruiting clinical supervisors, interns and clinical volunteers assuring that supervision and administrative items are complete.
  • Assure appropriate training is delivered to interns, volunteers and supervisors in coordination with Human Resources and the Training Manager in compliance with all regulations and Jefferson Center policies.
  • Assure compliance with all administrative and other requirements of school intern programs.
  • Supports other center trainings needs as directed.  
  • Exhibits enthusiasm, courtesy, adaptability, flexibility, and spirit of cooperation in the work environment.
  • Maintains effective interpersonal relationships with consumers, peers, subordinates, upper management, visitors and the general public.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize concerns, and effectively manage time independently.
  • Attends mandatory in-services, compliance with individualized training plan if required.
  • Participates in supervision by coming prepared with an agenda. Reports high risk/problem cases, and utilizes a problem solving approach as well as feedback. Attends supervision at times and intervals agreed upon with supervisor.
  • Works cooperatively with other community agencies, as appropriate, and in agreement with supervisor. Volunteers to work on Center committees and/or task forces.



Skills / Requirements

Master’s degree and license eligible in mental health field with one or more years of experience in a clinical setting. License preferred. Bilingual helpful not required.
